FAQ's

What do I wear for my tan?
Anything you like! I always answer this question with...whatever you feel comfortable in. Do not worry about what I will think, I have seen it all. I provide disposable G-strings for you but feel free to wear your own or go without.

How long does it take?
You will be in and out in 15 mins.

How long does a tan last?
Generally 7 to 10 days depending on how well you look after it.

What preparation do I need to do?
24 hours before your tan, exfoliate and do any hair removal you want. Come with no make up or deodorant on and wear loose clothing for after.

What activities should I avoid?
Swimming in chlorinated or salty water will make your tan fade faster, as will soaking in long hot baths and spa pools.

How long do I have to wait before having a shower?
It depends on the solution used. Rapid tans can be rinsed in 1 to 4 hours depending on how dark you want to be. 8 hour tans need to be left for at least 8 hours and is a good option for late night tanners.

Why have I got streaks after my shower?

Don't panic! You simply haven't rinsed all the bronzer off. Hop back in the shower and rub it with your hands. Spray tans do not go streaky!

Will I go orange?
No! Orange tans result from bad self tanners and old school solutions. I use only the best products to ensure this never happens

Is spray tanning safe?
Yes! All the solutions I use are organically certified and cruelty free. DHA, the main tanning ingredient, is made from sugar or sugar beets and is used in the food industry. It is non toxic and non carcinogenic and is approved recommended by all major medical and skin cancer associations around the world.

Can I tan when pregnant?
Even though spray tanning is considered safe, it is advised that tanning takes place after 12 weeks and only occasionally. I offer face masks to all my pregnant clients as an extra precaution.

Why has my tan gone wrong?

There are many reasons a tan can go wrong once you leave the salon but almost 100% of the time these can be fixed. Excessively dry skin can cause it to wear off patchy or leopard like. Hormones have the biggest effect on a tan so it can look completely different if you are pregnant or at certain times of the month. Certain medications can cause tans to look spotty. Spilling water on yourself before rinsing can cause streaks. BUT- almost every problem can be fixed so never panic. Simply give me a call and we can sort it out and have you bronzed and beautiful again in no time!

What is the luxury drying powder used for?
It takes the dreaded sticky feeling away, makes your tan dry instantly, smells amazing and leaves you with the perfect glow. It reduces any transfer to your clothes or sheets so you are good to go after your tan- to bed, or to work :)

Why get a double coat?
It lasts longer, gives a deeper colour and has better coverage. But be warned- once you go double, you never go back!
